Elastic in Madrid is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to own the production improvement loop for the Context Engine. You will work at the intersection of engineering, data science and product to ship robust agentic features.

You’ll design telemetry, evaluate agent behavior, and collaborate with teams to evolve data models while maintaining external contracts. This role blends systems, AI, and product thinking in a distributed, hybrid environment.

Formación

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with AI-driven products.
• Experience shipping production-grade AI systems with public APIs.
• Proficient in TypeScript or Python and backend services.
• Design telemetry and evaluation for data-informed decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Own production improvement loop for Context Engine and agent behavior.
• Define safe iteration strategies for prompts, skills, and automations.
• Design telemetry for data-informed decisions and dashboards.
• Collaborate with data science for evaluation strategies.
• Review designs, mentor engineers, and contribute proposals.
