OLIVER is seeking a skilled Spanish-Catalan Editor to join our freelance network. You will ensure high-quality localized marketing copy across various platforms while maintaining the brand’s tone of voice.

The role emphasizes independent work and collaboration with remote teams and clients in the European market. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in editing/proofreading/translation, native Catalan, and strong localization experience in marketing.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of editing/proofreading/translation experience, agency or client side
• Experience with translation/localization or linguistic quality assurance (LQA) projects
• Native Catalan speaker
• Strong awareness of Catalan linguistic nuances
• Experience in editing/proofreading/localization in marketing/advertising
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation in Spanish-Catalan
• Ability to adapt content to brand tone and guidelines
• Strong attention to detail and deadline discipline
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams
• Bachelor's or Master's in Translation, Linguistics, or related field preferred
• Nice to have Mac competency

Responsibilities

• Localize, edit, and proofread marketing communications across web, in-store, direct mail, print, and other materials
• Validate localized copy for market consistency
• Ensure alignment with approved translations, TM and glossaries
• Adhere to grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules
• Apply brand writing guidelines effectively
