Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations based in Barcelona. You will monitor turbine performance, diagnose issues, and support remote operation activities from the Wind Remote Operations Center.

You will work with site teams and engineers to ensure safe, efficient operation, resolve complex faults, and continuously improve processes. Travel up to 20% may be required; relocation to Barcelona is expected for EU eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and willingness to relocate to Barcelona.
• Available to travel up to 20% if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call during weekends and public holidays.
