Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for its Remote Operations Center focused on wind energy. The role involves monitoring offshore wind assets from a remote hub, coordinating with site teams and engineers, and ensuring reliable turbine performance throughout lifecycle.

You will analyze data, support commissioning and service activities, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety and compliance in a rotating shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
