Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to operate and optimize offshore wind assets from a remote operations center. Focus is on detection, analysis, and resolution of technical issues to ensure stable turbine performance across commissioning and service phases.

You collaborate with site teams and engineering experts, read electrical schematics, and leverage SCADA tools to drive proactive improvements while supporting a rotating weekday shift and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication, calm under pressure, and a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility; travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
