Job summary

Ethos is seeking experienced policy analysts to help train an AI language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks used in government operations.

The role requires 5+ years in government agencies or public administration with direct ownership of policy memos and grant compliance packages. This is a fully remote, flexible commitment of 5-20 hours per week, starting ASAP, with compensation of $70/hour.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in government or public administration with ownership of policy briefing memos and grant compliance packages.
• Strong command of public-sector writing conventions, rulemaking public comment procedures, and appropriations narratives.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create, evaluate, and refine AI-generated policy documents, spreadsheets, and slides across core workflows.
• Develop policy briefing memos for agency leadership and interagency coordination reports.
• Prepare grant compliance packages and reporting narratives, including appropriations request narratives.
