Job summary

Lever, Inc. is partnering to fill a Head of Publishing role based in Spain. This hands-on leadership post builds a publishing function from the ground up, owning strategy, deal flow, economics, and team development.

You will source studios, negotiate first deals, and establish greenlight processes. The role integrates strategic leadership with hands-on execution in a remote-first environment across Europe.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building publishing from scratch or early-stage ventures.
• Strong network of game studios and established reputation in mobile games.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the publishing function, strategy, operating model, priorities, and growth roadmap.
• Source studios, manage pipeline, lead negotiations, and close publishing partnerships.
• Lead initial studio discussions and transactions leveraging industry network.
• Define deal structures and economics with revenue shares and unit economics.
• Establish a greenlight framework for evaluating titles through testing and scaling.
• Oversee the publishing portfolio with the Publishing Producer, including roadmaps and LiveOps.
• Recruit and develop the publishing team, starting with a Publishing Producer.
• Deliver first-year objectives: signed portfolio, active deal pipeline, 2–3 validated titles, greenlight process, core team.
