Lever, Inc. is seeking a Tech Lead for Payments and Billing in a remote-first Spain-based role. You will lead a Payments squad, defining technical direction, architecture, and delivery for a high-volume billing system.

You’ll write design docs, review PRs, and directly contribute to implementation while coaching engineers to improve quality and velocity. You will balance speed with resilience, optimize payment accuracy and processing efficiency, and shape the evolving payments platform to handle

Formación

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead or equivalent, ownership of delivery outcomes and engineering standards.
• Hands-on leadership with design docs, PR reviews, architecture decisions, and coding.
• Ability to coach and develop engineers while delivering major technical problems.

Responsabilidades

• Own the delivery outcomes of the Payments squad and maintain high engineering standards.
• Set technical and architectural direction for the payments domain for future scale.
• Write specifications, review architecture decisions, and contribute to implementation.
• Diagnose throughput issues and resolve blockers to maintain momentum.
• Coach junior engineers and raise technical quality and delivery speed.
• Collaborate with management on hiring and promotion decisions.
