Lever, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer focused on Pricing based in Spain. You will own the backend pricing infrastructure for a modern energy transaction platform, building a Pricing API from architecture to production readiness and third-party access.

The role blends backend engineering, data systems, reliability, and product thinking in a high-impact domain. You will guide architectural migrations, establish engineering standards, and influence technical direction across teams while

Formación

• Deep production experience with Python backend engineering and APIs at scale.
• Experience taking ownership of production systems and acting as escalation point.
• Proven track record leading decoupling or architectural transformations of live systems.
• Strong with FastAPI and SQL in data-intensive contexts.
• Experience designing reliable, explainable systems for pricing or financial data.

Responsabilidades

• Build, evolve, and operate Pricing API for fast, reliable, accurate, and third-party-ready pricing.
• Lead extraction of pricing logic into a dedicated service with clear boundaries.
• Manage architectural migrations while preserving functionality and minimizing disruption.
• Own pricing reliability with monitoring, detection, and alerting for issues.
• Ensure pricing failures are diagnosable and explainable for customers.
