Job summary

PORTWEST is seeking an Area Sales Manager for Southern East Spain (Levante Sur - Albacete, Alicante, Murcia). This on-site role focuses on PPE and workwear, selling through distributors and direct customers. Based in Murcia region, you will report to the Country Manager and drive growth across the territory.

You will build distributor relationships, conduct face-to-face meetings, identify growth opportunities, and present tailored Portwest solutions. Travel across the region is required.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years' experience selling PPE, workwear or safety wear.
• Experience selling on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor, reseller or agent.
• Experience in direct sales and end-customer engagement.
• Sales experience in related industry: Construction, Tools & Machinery, Industrial, etc.
• Drive to grow Portwest sales through field activities.
• Clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills; positive, team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Build quality relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Conduct daily face-to-face sales meetings with distributors, resellers and agents.
• Identify customers with high growth potential and create development roadmaps.
• Identify new business opportunities and complete sales planning.
• Utilise strategies to win new business consistently.
• Engage in consultative selling to meet customer needs with Portwest solutions.
• Develop clear proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
• Focus on selling new Portwest products by bringing samples to meetings.
• Ensure follow-up after meetings to close sales.
• Develop market intelligence from trade shows, seminars, exhibitions and journals.
