Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Retail Sales Specialist to join the team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will engage customers, understand needs, and recommend products to drive sales while delivering exceptional service.

You will maintain store presentation, manage inventory, process POS transactions, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. Flexible hours including weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail sales or customer service role is preferred.
• Ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Ability to learn product information quickly and communicate benefits to customers.
• Experience with POS systems and basic inventory procedures.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Located in or near Queenstown, Eastern Cape.
• Enthusiasm for retail and helping customers.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers in a friendly and professional manner, identifying needs and offering tailored product recommendations.
• Drive sales by showcasing products and promoting offers.
• Achieve and exceed sales targets through customer service and product knowledge.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system.
• Maintain knowledge of products, services and promotions.
• Assist with inventory management, stock reception and restocking.
• Support store visuals and current product displays.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues courteously.
• Participate in team meetings and training to improve product knowledge and sales skills.
