Job summary

Oesía Group busca un Project Manager – Space para liderar iniciativas estratégicas en programas espaciales y de defensa dentro de Europa. La posición implica coordinación de equipos y relación directa con ESA, con posibilidad de reubicación a Madrid.

Se requiere ingeniería en aeroespacial o afín y al menos 5 años de experiencia en proyectos tecnológicos o espaciales, con dominio de ECSS y experiencia en SATCOM. Ofrecemos proyectos innovadores y crecimiento profesional en un entorno multinacional.

Qualifications

• Diplomado/ingeniería en áreas afines (Aeroespacial, Telecomunicaciones o Industrial)
• Experiencia gestionando y coordinando proyectos tecnológicos o espaciales
• Experiencia liderando equipos multidisciplinares, planificación, riesgos y presupuesto
• Experiencia práctica con proyectos de ESA e interacción directa con la agencia

Responsibilities

• Liderar la gestión de extremo a extremo de proyectos tecnológicos y espaciales, asegurando alcance, cronograma y presupuesto
• Actuar como interfaz principal con las partes interesadas de ESA, garantizando alineación técnica y contractual
• Coordinar equipos multidisciplinares (sistemas, software, hardware, AIT, telecomunicaciones) e integrar soluciones SATCOM complejas
• Planificar y monitorizar cronogramas, recursos y hitos, incluyendo revisiones ESA (SRR, PDR, CDR, QR, AR)
• Identificar, evaluar y mitigar riesgos técnicos, financieros y de calendario
• Gestionar y controlar el presupuesto del proyecto
• Asegurar cumplimiento de ECSS, procesos de calidad y gestión de configuraciones
• Gestión de proveedores y subcontratistas dentro del ecosistema del proyecto

This is a key leadership role with real impact on advanced space and defence projects, offering the opportunity to relocate to Madrid, one of Europe’s most dynamic and liveable capitals.

What are we looking for?

• An/a Project Manager – Space (ESA & SATCOM), with at least 5 years of experience.
• Availability to join a stable project in Madrid.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Telecommunications, Industrial or similar)
• Proven experience in managing and coordinating technological or space projects.
• Strong experience managing multidisciplinary teams, planning, risks, and budget.
• Hands- on experience managing projects with ESA (European Space Agency), including direct interaction with the agency and understanding of its processes.

Technical Skills

• Solid understanding of the space project lifecycle (Phases 0/A/B/C/D/E).
• Experience working under ECSS standards.
• Knowledge of SATCOM environments (highly relevant for IRIS2).
• Proficiency with planning tools (MS Project, Jira or similar).

What will your responsibilities be?

• Lead the end-to-end management of technological and space projects, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Act as the main interface with ESA stakeholders, ensuring proper technical and contractual alignment.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (systems, software, hardware, AIT, telecommunications), ensuring successful integration of complex SATCOM solutions.
• Plan and monitor project schedules, resources, and key milestones, including ESA reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, QR, AR).
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, financial, and schedule risks.
• Manage and control the project budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Ensure compliance with ECSS standards, quality processes, and configuration management.
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors within the project ecosystem.
