Sherpas is seeking a Backend Engineer who can transform bespoke integrations into configurable, self-serve connectors for wealth-management platforms. You will work with custodial data, CRM and planning tools, building resilient integrations that tolerate undocumented or rate-limited APIs.

You will focus on failure-mode design, tooling, and turning complex onboarding into repeatable, scalable processes for non-engineers, without requiring frontend work.

Formación

• Experience with backend integration and third-party APIs that are undocumented, inconsistent, or rate-limited.
• Ability to design for failure modes: retries, partial data, silent schema changes, reconciliation breaks.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience turning services-heavy onboarding into a self-serve product.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain connectors between custodial data, CRM, and financial planning tools.
• Make onboarding configurable by non-engineers, reducing engineering effort per firm.
• Ensure data reconciles and is resilient to external system issues.
• Provide tooling and documentation so others can use the integrations without deep knowledge.
