Técnicas Reunidas is seeking a Senior Package Unit Engineer for Power Plant Projects in Bilbao. The role focuses on reviewing specs, preparing package unit documentation, and evaluating vendor offers for complex solids handling and water treatment packages.

The candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, support procurement with cost evaluations, and coordinate internal reviews (HAZOP, P&IDs, 3D model reviews), while ensuring compliance with international standards and project schedules.

Formación

• 15+ years in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Projects or CCGTs.
• Deep knowledge of solids handling equipment and package units.
• Autonomous work on pre-FEED/FEED or PMC/PMT roles.
• Knowledge of specs, design, evaluation, inspection and tests.
• Experience with international norms and quality plans.
• Leadership, proactive, team-oriented.
• Able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

We are looking for candidates for the position of Senior Package Unit Engineer Power Plant Project.

Requirements:

• Review project specifications and technical requirements
• Prepare Package Units technical documentation for inquiry
• Review Vendor offers and prepare technical evaluations
• Support procurement team in defining cost evaluation for equipment
• Prepare Package Units technical documentation for purchase
• Review, mark-up comments and finalize all vendor drawings, interfacing with other technical disciplines
• Attend internal review activities and participate in inter-discipline review meetings (HAZOP, P&IDs screening, 3D Model review, etc)
• Coordinate and assist other technical disciplines to perform engineering activities providing technical information as utilities and electrical load list, layouts, etc
• Provide support for expediting and testing activities
• Provide support to project engineering for Client requirements providing technical information, attending meetings, etc.

Required profile and experience:

• At least 15 years of demonstrable experience in this type of equipment in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Projects or CCGTs.
• The candidate must have an extensive knowledge in process and equipment involved in Solids Handling Equipment (mechanical conveying equipment as belt conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, etc, or Polyolefins Extrusion and Pneumatic Conveying Systems) and Package Units as Water Treatment Plants, Gas Purification Units, Desalter Packages, etc. It is not mandatory to have knowledge about all the equipment, but deep understanding of the equipment handled during the career.
• The candidate must demonstrate experience in autonomous work and have worked on service projects such as pre-FEEDs, FEEDs, etc., and/or have assumed the role of PMC/PMT supervising the work of another contractor.
• Knowledge in the preparation of specifications, design, calculation, selection, technical evaluation of offers, inspection and tests of Solids Handling & Package Units equipment.
• Experience in the application of Norms, International Standards, quality control plans and personnel management for the execution of projects.
• General knowledge of the different disciplines involved: Static Equipment; Heat Transfer; Rotating Equipment; Electricity; Instrumentation; Piping; HSE.
• Main valuable personal characteristics are leadership, proactivity, honesty, focusing on targets, ownership of assignments, team building and open to learn.
