Tecnicas Reunidas is seeking a Rotating Equipment Senior Engineer with 15+ years of demonstrated experience in rotating equipment for power plants. The role involves developing activities to specify, select and monitor rotating equipment while ensuring QA/QC and HSE compliance.

The candidate will apply extensive knowledge of rotating equipment (gas and steam turbines, compressors, pumps, etc.) and collaborate with discipline leads to optimize engineering standards and interface with Procurement

Tecnicas Reunidas is looking for candidates for the position of Rotating Equipment Senior Engineer, with at least 15 years of demonstrable experience in this type of equipment in Power Plants.
The Rotating Equipment Senior Engineer will develop activities for specify, select and follow up rotating equipment, ensuring the compliance with the technical, QA/QC and HSE requirements. The candidate must have extensive knowledge in rotating equipment (gas and steam turbines, compressors, pumps, etc).

Responsabilities

• Provide technical support during bidding phase.
• Review technical tender documentation.
• Prepare rotating equipment technical documentation for inquiry.
• Review and make technical evaluation of machinery bids received by Vendors.
• Support Lead in defining cost evaluation for machinery and other equipment related to Machinery department.
• Support Lead in defining engineering requirements and interface with other disciplines. Optimize engineering standards while ensuring minimal cost and simplification in compliance with the required performance.
• Prepare technical documentation for requisitions (e.g. technical supply specification, mechanical data sheets.)
• Support Lead in technical negotiation with vendors. Review and supervise subcontracted discipline engineering documents.
• Prepare technical tabulation and technical evaluation for equipment offers submitted by Vendors.
• After order award: follow-up engineering activities and interface assigned machinery equipment/package included in purchase orders.
• Review, mark-up comments and finalize all vendor drawings, interfacing with other processes or technical disciplines.
• Attend to internal review activities and participate to inter-discipline review meetings.
• Participate to and assist technical disciplines to perform engineering activities (e.g. utilities and electrical load list, layouts, 3D, routings)
• Provide support for expediting and testing activities.
• Provide support for document management and certified final documentation.
• Support Discipline Lead in the activity with Project functions including Procurement and Construction.
• Support Lead to define equipment construction inspection plan and during preparation of equipment weights and dimensions to assist Construction activities.
• Development Technology know how.
