Vèringer Engineering in Madrid/Bilbao, Spain, is seeking a Senior Package Unit Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team in power generation and energy infrastructure projects. The role focuses on solids handling equipment and package units within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and industrial projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in specification, selection, technical evaluation, and follow-up, with strong English and a proven track record in FEED/pre-FEED and project execution.

Formación

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years experience with solids handling equipment and/or package units.
• Experience in FEED/pre-FEED, PMC/PMT projects.
• Knowledge of international codes, standards, QA/QC, HSE.
• High level of English.

Responsabilidades

• Develop activities for specification, selection, and follow-up of Solids Handling Equipment and Package Units.
• Review project specs, technical requirements, and process documentation.
• Prepare inquiry and procurement documentation for Solids Handling Equipment.
• Review vendor quotations and perform technical bid evaluations.
• Support procurement, including cost evaluation and supplier selection.
• Review and approve vendor docs and drawings with interfaces to other disciplines.
• Participate in multidisciplinary review meetings including HAZOP, P&ID and 3D model reviews.
• Coordinate engineering activities with other disciplines and provide design inputs.
• Support inspection, expediting, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Participate in technical meetings with clients and support project execution.

We are currently looking for an Senior Package Unit Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team involved in power generation and energy infrastructure projects.

The position is aimed at professionals with extensive experience in the specification, selection, technical evaluation, and follow-up of Solids Handling Equipment and Package Units within Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and industrial projects.

Hybrid work model – 2 days remote per week

Responsibilities:

• Develop engineering activities related to the specification, selection, and follow-up of Solids Handling Equipment and Package Units, ensuring compliance with technical, QA/QC, and HSE requirements.


• Review project specifications, technical requirements, and process documentation.


• Prepare inquiry and purchase technical documentation for Solids Handling Equipment and Package Units.


• Review vendor quotations and perform technical bid evaluations.


• Support procurement activities, including cost evaluation and supplier selection processes.


• Review, comment, and approve vendor documentation and drawings, coordinating interfaces with other engineering disciplines.


• Participate in multidisciplinary review meetings, including HAZOP sessions, P&ID reviews, and 3D model reviews.


• Coordinate engineering activities with other disciplines, providing technical inputs such as utility requirements, electrical load lists, layouts, and design data.


• Support inspection, expediting, testing, and commissioning activities.


• Participate in technical meetings with clients and provide support throughout project execution.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Minimum 10 years of experience working with Solids Handling Equipment and/or Package Units in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Plant, or CCGT projects.


• Strong knowledge of solids handling systems, including belt conveyors, bucket elevators, screw conveyors, pneumatic conveying systems, extrusion systems, or similar equipment.


• Experience with Package Units such as Water Treatment Plants, Gas Purification Units, Desalter Packages, or equivalent systems.


• Experience preparing specifications, calculations, equipment selection documents, technical bid evaluations, inspection requirements, and testing procedures.


• Experience working on FEED, pre-FEED, detailed engineering, PMC, or PMT projects.


• Knowledge of international codes, standards, quality control plans, and project execution procedures.


• General understanding of related disciplines including Static Equipment, Rotating Equipment, Heat Transfer, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, and HSE.


• High level of English.

Desirable requirements:

• Previous experience in Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCGT) and Power Generation projects.


• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing technical interfaces.


• Experience supporting vendor inspections, FATs, and commissioning activities.


• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
