Job summary

Galp seeks an Operational Technologies Engineer to lead on-site OT equipment, ensuring real-time data flow and integration across renewables assets in the Iberian Peninsula. You will evolve OT systems, coordinate with OEMs, and support the Control Center to maintain reliability and data integrity.

You will bring at least 5 years in renewables, strong knowledge of industrial protocols, and OT cybersecurity experience. A collaborative, detail-oriented leader is essential for multi-site projects.

Qualifications

• Graduation in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or Computer Science.
• At least 5 years working in the Renewables sector.
• Experience with OEM SCADAs is required.
• Excellent knowledge of industrial communication protocols (IEC-60870 family, MODBUS, OPC-UA, DNP).
• Experience with OT Cyber Security is valuable.
• Strong communication across cultures and teams.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Act as a focal point for all on-site OT equipment and ensure real-time data flow continuity.
• Maximize plant productivity by evolving OT equipment and data integrity.
• Collaborate on integrating Galp assets for real-time and historical analysis.
• Maintain continuity of Control Center activities in applications, communications, and systems.
• Design and implement main system functionalities with clear specifications and future-proof recommendations.
• Drive continuous OT equipment evolution aligned with service reliability and cost reduction.
• Monitor work plans to retrofit OEM SCADAs and related OT equipment as needed.
• Establish best practices for new project site integrations and validation activities during installation and commissioning.
• Ensure real-time control systems analysis and incident resolution in coordination with suppliers and stakeholders.
• Maintain data integrity for internal databases used for real-time and historical analysis.
