Job summary

Jobgether SRL, on behalf of a partner, is seeking an OT Systems Subject Matter Expert based in Spain to develop and scale the operational technology infrastructure that powers AI data centres across Europe and North America.

You will serve as the technical authority for BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLC-based controls, and DCIM platforms, working with design, IT, construction, and site operations teams to establish standards and ensure reliable, secure facility operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in OT/industrial control or building automation
• 3+ years in mission-critical environments such as data centres, utilities, pharma, or nuclear

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for OT across all AI data centre facilities.
• Review OT designs, control philosophies, points lists, and sequences of operation for new builds, expansions, and retrofits.
• Lead OT activities throughout commissioning, including IST and Level 1-5 testing, and establish acceptance criteria.
• Partner with IT to implement an OT cybersecurity framework including access control, patch management, and secure remote access.
• Maintain OT asset inventories, network architecture documentation, and configuration baselines across facilities.
• Provide expert escalation support for OT incidents and conduct root-cause investigations.
• Establish and govern formal OT change management processes to minimize risk and disruptions.
• Manage system integrators, OEMs, and service providers across sites and countries.
• Coordinate OT/IT integration and secure communications across facilities.
• Maintain common OT standards, naming conventions, and templates for multi-site deployment.
• Evaluate system resilience and develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Ensure OT activities comply with safety, SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and contractual obligations.
• Drive continuous improvement through analytics, alarm rationalization, and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Create technical documentation and training materials to strengthen OT capabilities.
