American Express Global Travel (Amex GBT) seeks a Senior Operations Manager with 10+ years in event agency operations to lead multi-country event delivery across Spain & Italy. You will connect regional teams with global standards, drive P&L, and optimize processes while ensuring compliance and high-quality production.

This leadership role requires fluent Spanish and English; Italian is a plus. You will coach Team Leaders, manage stakeholders, and act as an ambassador to raise market

• Lead transformation initiatives (process harmonization, new tools, AI adoption) and drive organizational change to improve efficiency and maturity.
• Serve as senior escalation point for major clients and act as trusted advisor and strategic partner.
• Act as agency ambassador in Spanish & Italian markets; build relationships to enhance visibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to align on global standards.
• Ensure operational efficiency and project delivery quality.
• Foster employee engagement and client satisfaction and profitability.

We are looking for someone coming from the event Industry, with knowledge of events, communication and marketing. As part of a global agency, the Senior Operation Manager plays a key role in connecting regional teams with global standards and best practices, while partnering closely with peers and business stakeholders worldwide. Additionally, this role serves as a strategic communicator and reputation ambassador for Spain/Italy markets leads and optimizes event operations for a leading global creative events agency, across 2 countries. This leader will ensure high-quality event delivery & production, strong team performance and management, and operational excellence at scale.

What Youill Do:

• Core Responsibilities: Drive operational excellence, ensure consistent high-quality event delivery, manage P&L, optimize processes, and maintain compliance across both countries

• Team Leadership: Coach and develop Team Leaders; foster high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the region

• Change Management: Lead transformation initiatives (process harmonization, new tools, AI adoption) and drive organizational change to improve efficiency and operational maturity

• Client Relationship: Serve as senior escalation point for major clients; ensure operational delivery aligns with expectations; act as trusted creative advisor and strategic partner

• External Representation: Act as agency ambassador in Spanish & Italian markets; build relationships with media, industry associations, influencers, and thought leaders to enhance market visibility

• Global Collaboration : Partner with cross-functional teams and international peers to align on global standards, best practices, and multi-market project delivery

• Operational efficiency and project delivery quality

What We´r Looking For:

• 10+ years in event agency operations/production

• Fluent in Spanish, English, and Italian is a plus

• Proven experience managing large multi-layered teams across multiple countries

• Strong stakeholder management and external communication skills

• Strong leader on event/communication industry

• You already have a network and you will develop our visibility by having strong external communication skills
