Sharp Brains Solutions seeks an on-site Network Engineer (L1/L2) in Algeciras, Spain. The role covers troubleshooting, configuring routers/switches/firewalls, VPN access, and incident resolution to meet SLAs. You will work in a B2B/freelance contract, collaborating with senior engineers as needed.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in Network Support, strong TCP/IP/DNS/DHCP/VLAN knowledge, and CCNA or equivalent certification is a plus. On-site presence is required in this location.

Formación

• 1–3 years of experience in Network Support / Network Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs).
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, etc.).
• Basic knowledge of network security principles.
• Experience with VPN and remote access technologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• CCNA or equivalent certification is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide Level 1/2 support for network infrastructure and connectivity issues.
• Monitor and maintain LAN/WAN network performance.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Diagnose network issues related to IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Assist in network installations, upgrades, and patching activities.
• Ensure network security and follow best practices.
• Support end-users with connectivity and access-related issues.
• Maintain network documentation and update configurations.
• Log, track, and resolve incidents through the ticketing system.
• Escalate complex network issues to senior engineers/vendors.
• Ensure timely resolution as per SLA requirements.

We are currently looking for a Network Engineer (L1 / L2) professional to join our team in an on-site support role.

Job Responsibilities:

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in Network Support / Network Engineering
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, xqysrnh and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of network security principles
• Experience with VPN and remote access technologies
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems
• Relevant certifications (CCNA or equivalent) are a plus
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good communication and customer-handling skills
• Ability to work independently in an on-site environment
