Eurovision Services seeks a Network & Connectivity Team Leader to manage our Madrid network team and contribute to ongoing technical work. You will oversee LAN/WAN, data centers, cloud connectivity, and broadcast IP media transport while driving modernization efforts.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years in network infrastructure and 2+ years in a team leadership role, with expertise in routing, firewalls, and IP media standards. You will report to the Head of Platform Infrastructure.

Responsabilidades

• Own the team's data center networking, cloud connectivity, remote-access solutions, and broadcast connectivity.
• Extend the estate to broadcast IP media transport (ST 2110 / ST 2022-7) and precision timing (PTP / IEEE 1588).
• Ensure high availability and performance of corporate networks.
• Own incident response, monitoring, and security controls (firewalls, VPNs, segmentation).
• Keep documentation and operational standards current.

Eurovision Services is seeking a highly motivated Network & Connectivity Team Leader to integrate and manage our network team. The selected person will join the Technology department in our Madrid Office, Spain.

ABOUT THE ES TECHNOLOGY TEAM

The Technology department is the driving force behind all our technical infrastructure, networks, corporate systems, and software IT. It is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the entire technical landscape, which serves as the foundation for all permanent and event-based services for our customers (e.g., media organizations, sports federations, and event enterprises).

YOUR MISSION

As member and Team Leader of the Network & Connectivity team, you will manage our unit of network engineers, being responsible for the functioning of our whole Eurovision Services network: from corporate IT infrastructure (LAN, WAN, data centers, and cloud connectivity) to our broadcast connectivity, backbone, and Points of Presence (PoPs).

The mission of the role is to lead the team while remaining actively involved in the technical work: you will coordinate the day-to-day delivery, own capacity planning, oversee network performance during live events, and contribute to network engineering activities alongside the team when necessary. This role will report to the Head of Platform Infrastructure, while executing designs and standards set by our Platform Architecture team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver the Network

• Design, build, and operate the team's core network estate: LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing and switching, network segmentation, QoS, DNS/DHCP, and IP addressing, following the standards set by Architecture.
• Own the team's current scope — data center networking, cloud connectivity, and remote-access solutions — alongside broadcast connectivity.
• Extend this estate to broadcast IP media transport (ST 2110 / ST 2022-7) and precision timing (PTP / IEEE 1588).
• Ensure high availability and performance of corporate networks.
• Own incident response, monitoring, and security controls (firewalls, VPNs, segmentation) for the team.
• Keep documentation and operational standards current, ensuring that critical knowledge is shared across the team.

Lead the Team

• Coordinate day-to-day work and the on-call rotation schedule across a team of network engineers.
• Be the first point of technical escalation and mentor the team, building technical depth and capabilities over time.
• Report team health, risks, and capacity constraints to the Head of Platform Infrastructure.
• Establish infrastructure KPIs, SLAs, and performance measurement systems.

Plan and implement the modernization of our network

• Lead modernization initiatives: SD-WAN, Wi-Fi 6/7 upgrades, zero-trust networking, automation, etc.
• Drive automation of network operations and provisioning.
• Flag risks in advance and coordinate the unit's input into infrastructure projects and vendor decisions.

Ensure implementation & compliance of security measures

• Work closely with cybersecurity teams to implement secure network architectures.
• Enforce policies for firewalls, VPNs, access control, network segmentation, and intrusion detection/prevention.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001).

YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Experience

• 6–8 years of experience in network infrastructure roles. Experience with broadcast or media networks will be considered a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in a technical team lead position, with mentoring, or informal leadership responsibilities.
• Proven track record of scaling network infrastructure in complex environments.
• Experience managing systems, cloud, and hybrid network teams.

Technical Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching technologies.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise firewall platforms.
• Proven track record in scaling network infrastructure in complex environments
• Experience managing systems, cloud, and hybrid network teams.
• Working knowledge of IP routing fundamentals (BGP, OSPF) for backbone and PoP connectivity.
• Understanding of broadcast IP media standards (ST 2110, ST 2022-7) and precision timing (PTP).

Soft Skills

• Team leadership and mentoring ability.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced technical environments, leading teams through periods of change.

Languages

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken (mandatory).
• Spanish, French or any other language related to our business is considered an advantage.
