Eurovision Services is seeking a Video Shading Specialist to join the Madrid-based Production Hub. The role focuses on video quality control, harmonizing parameters across sites, and maintaining workflows for live sports events.

The candidate will work with HDR/SDR conversions, chroma level measurements, and coordination with remote teams, on shifts including weekends. Proficiency in Spanish and English is required.

Formación

• Video Technical Certificate or Degree in Video Production.
• 5+ Years of relevant professional experience, preferably international.
• Experience with SMPTE ST2110 standards and operation.
• Strong knowledge of video and audio standards.
• Experience with HDR/SDR conversion workflows.
• Hands-on with video level measurement tools (waveform and vectorscope).
• Proficient in shading parameters and camera RCPs.
• Experience with broadcast video content and interdependencies of video/audio.
• Familiarity with digital audio/video workflows.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.

• Design, implement, and maintain technical workflows for lineup procedures and operations between local and remote parties
• Ensure quality standards are upheld during up/down/cross conversions, format conversions (50Hz/60Hz), and HDR/SDR conversions
• Measure and conform video and chroma levels
• Track and report any incidents or anomalies encountered during the shift.

Eurovision Services is seeking a highly skilled Video Shading Specialist to be part of our Production Hub team, based in our Madrid office, Spain.

ABOUT THE TEAM

As part of our Operations department, the Production Hub team operates as a dedicated unit, delivering remote production and distribution services for one of our largest sports clients. The team operates from a dedicated MCR, where signals are monitored, verified, adapted and delivered in close coordination with our partners.

The Operations department acts as the central point of contact for customers receiving our services. Its different teams work together to deliver high-quality broadcasting services and implement reliable solutions that provide outstanding value in the transmission of top‑tier sports events around the globe.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION

As a Video Shading Specialist, you will be responsible for managing video quality control operations within the Production Hub during sports events. In detail, you will:

• Operate and analyze the quality of video feeds received from the contribution network for sports events
• Coordinate with remote teams to harmonize technical parameters across multiple production sites, ensuring a unified viewing experience
• Design, implement, and maintain technical workflows for lineup procedures and operations between local and remote parties
• Ensure quality standards are upheld during up/down/cross conversions, format conversions (50Hz/60Hz), and HDR/SDR conversions
• Measure and conform video and chroma levels
• Track and report any incidents or anomalies encountered during the shift.

*In this position, you will be required to work on shifts, including weekends.

YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Video Technical Certificate or Degree in Video Production
• 5+ Years of relevant professional experience, preferably in an international working environment.
• Experience with SMPTE ST2110 standards and operation.
• Strong knowledge of video and audio standards.
• Experience with HDR/SDR conversion workflows.
• Strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with video level measurement tools (waveform and vectorscope monitors)
• Proficient in video shading parameters and familiar with various camera RCPs from different manufacturers
• Experience with broadcast video content and a solid understanding of the interdependencies between video and audio in TV production.
• Familiarity with digital audio/video workflows.
• Proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
