Job summary

Monex Europe is seeking a Head of Desk, Institutional Sales to lead the Madrid-based desk, managing revenue targets and senior client relationships across private equity, private credit, VC, hedge funds and real assets.

You will coach Executives and Associates while coordinating with Dealing, Structuring, Compliance and Risk teams, and London/Amsterdam colleagues to scale the desk regionally.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• 6+ years of institutional sales experience in FX or financial markets.
• Established network within the institutional market (PE, private credit, VC, hedge funds, real assets).
• Experience leading or mentoring a sales team or readiness to step into first-line management.
• Strong technical understanding of financial products, hedging and market dynamics.
• Solid understanding of the regulatory environment governing FX and payments in Europe.
• Natural leader with strong commercial judgement and pipeline management discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead the institutional sales desk daily, owning weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue targets and KPIs.
• Own and grow a portfolio of institutional clients, presenting bespoke FX and hedging solutions to CFOs and portfolio managers.
• Lead client negotiations, ensuring margin discipline and senior escalation for complex situations.
• Coach and develop Executives and Associates with clear progression paths.
• Drive pipeline discipline across the desk with CRM hygiene and accurate forecasting.
• Ensure desk activity complies with Monex’s compliance framework and regulatory requirements.
• Drive new business through targeted outreach and represent Monex at client events and industry conferences.
