Job summary

Monex Europe is seeking a Head of Desk in Madrid to own the desk’s revenue performance and lead a team of Executives and Associates. You will coordinate with Dealing, Compliance, Credit & Risk, Operations and Marketing, while working with colleagues across London, Amsterdam and the Monex network.

You will drive client relationships, lead commercial negotiations, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements while building the desk’s capability and growth trajectory.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years’ experience in FX, international payments or financial markets sales with a proven track record of revenue delivery against target.
• Experience leading or mentoring a sales team or clear readiness to step into first-line management.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and comfort owning pricing and margin conversations.
• Solid understanding of the regulatory environment governing FX and payments in Europe.
• Track record of building and managing a pipeline in a target-driven environment.
• Fluency in English and French is mandatory; English is the working language across Monex Europe.

Responsibilities

• Own the daily, weekly and quarterly performance of the desk and set revenue targets and KPIs.
• Lead contract negotiations with clients while ensuring commerciality and margin discipline.
• Build capability, identify and develop talent for promotion, and align with Sales leadership on new products and initiatives.
• Balance revenue delivery with Monex’s compliance framework and risk management.
• Oversee market presence, marketing activity for the desk, and represent Monex at client events.
