Job summary

Monex Europe seeks a Head of Desk, Institutional Sales to lead the Madrid platform, driving revenue from institutional clients across private equity, private credit, venture capital, hedge funds and real assets. The role bridges front-office execution with Sales leadership, while staying hands-on with senior client relationships.

The successful candidate will manage Executives and Associates in Madrid, partner with Dealing, Structuring, Compliance and Risk, and collaborate with teams in London

Qualifications

• 6+ years of institutional sales experience in FX or financial markets.
• Strong network within institutional market (PE, private credit, VC, hedge funds, real assets).
• Experience leading or mentoring a sales team or readiness to step into first-line management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the institutional sales desk day-to-day, owning revenue targets and KPIs.
• Own and grow a portfolio of institutional clients, presenting bespoke FX and hedging solutions to CFOs and portfolio managers.
• Lead client negotiations, ensuring margin discipline and handling complex situations and closes.
• Manage, coach and develop Executives and Associates with clear progression paths.
• Drive pipeline discipline, CRM hygiene, forecasting and account planning.
• Ensure compliance with Monex’s regulatory framework and escalate conduct issues.
• Drive new business through targeted outreach and represent Monex at events.
