Axpo Group is seeking an experienced Microsoft Purview specialist to own compliance and data protection across the enterprise. You will design and manage DLP, retention, and eDiscovery, while coordinating with Security, Compliance and Legal teams in a hybrid Exchange environment.

You will automate tasks with PowerShell, create runbooks, and provide escalation support. Fluency in English and strong stakeholder communication are essential for cross-functional collaboration.

• Experience as escalation point for Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment, owning issues through to resolution.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview: built or run DLP policies, sensitivity labels, retention, and eDiscovery/audit.
• Confidence leading meetings with stakeholders across security, data protection, legal, and user communications.
• Working knowledge of Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange, including mail flow, connectors and certificates.
• Comfort writing PowerShell scripts for administration and automation.
• Structured approach to troubleshooting and explaining compliance topics to non-technical colleagues.
• Fluency in English.

Join Axpo EMEA to shape a secure, compliant Microsoft 365 environment. You'll own Purview compliance end to end while working closely with Security, Compliance, Legal and IT operations. We welcome your unique perspective.

What you will do:

• Design, implement and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and endpoints, including tuning, handling false positives and investigating incidents.

• Own the sensitivity label setup, configure retention policies and records management in line with legal and regulatory requirements, and support eDiscovery, audit log searches and legal holds together with Compliance and Legal.

• Run Purview topics with stakeholders yourself: prepare and lead meetings, explain technical options and their impact, align different interests and turn decisions into concrete next steps.

• Automate reporting, policy rollout and monitoring with PowerShell, take L3 escalations, write documentation and runbooks, and coach L1/L2 colleagues.

• Keep the hybrid Exchange environment running (Exchange Server 2016/2019 and Exchange Online): connectors, mail flow, certificates and Entra Connect sync, and troubleshoot complex mail flow and client issues across Outlook, OWA and EWS.

• Maintain email authentication and security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, Defender for Office 365) and help with mailbox moves and tidy-up as part of the ongoing reduction of on-premises Exchange.

What you bring & who you are:

• Experience working as an escalation point for Microsoft 365 in an enterprise environment, owning problems through to resolution.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview: you have built or run DLP policies, sensitivity labels, retention, and eDiscovery/audit yourself, beyond just using them.

• Confidence in leading meetings on your own with stakeholders from different areas, for example security leadership (CISO), data protection (DPO), legal, or user communications – you can present a topic, handle different points of view and move the discussion toward a decision.

• Working knowledge of Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange, including mail flow, connectors and certificates.

• Comfort writing PowerShell scripts for administration and automation.

• A structured approach to troubleshooting, the ability to explain compliance topics to non-technical colleagues

• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Certifications: SC-401/SC-400 (Information Protection), MS-102 or MS-203.

• Experience with Defender for Office 365, Proofpoint or similar email security tools.

• Migration experience (cross-tenant, public folders) or tools such as Quest or BitTitan.

• Exposure to Intune, Conditional Access, or regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001 or the Swiss FADP.

• German language skills.
