Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra Mallorca seeks a skilled Sommelier to lead wine service across outlets within our luxury Food & Beverage team. You will design wine/beverage menus, manage inventory, and drive beverage sales through expert recommendations and exceptional service.

The role requires 2–3 years in a similar luxury setting, strong wine knowledge, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences in a multi-property environment.

Formación

• Degree in Hospitality Management or similar.
• 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience in luxury hospitality and fine dining.
• Ability to deliver superior customer service.
• Experience with restaurant POS and cashiering procedures.
• Extremely organized with strong administrative capabilities.
• Proven ability to lead a large and diverse team.
• Able to organize and manage multiple tasks.
• Competent with MS Office or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all operational duties related to wine and beverages and prioritise engagement in the outlet.
• Understand the outlet’s concepts, menus and facilities to explain to guests.
• In-depth knowledge of grape varieties, origin, structure, aroma, flavour and fermentation processes.
• Provide wine service in all outlets, including serving and decanting wine.
• Maintain and rotate stock according to outlet standards.
• Provide wine suggestions based on guest preferences and upsell where appropriate.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure inventory for daily use.
• Ensure glassware and utensils are in good condition and record breakages.
• Collaborate with Head Sommelier, Kitchen Chef and managers to elevate the wine service.
• Analyze wine and beverages sales and coordinate sourcing.
