Six Senses Quexigal Palace seeks a Head Sommelier to lead wine service across all outlets, curate an exceptional wine programme, and deliver memorable guest experiences in line with luxury standards.

You will train staff, build winery partnerships, oversee cellar operations and wine purchasing, and ensure accurate presentation and pairing across diverse cuisines. The role requires five years in luxury settings and leadership, plus fluency in English and Spanish.

Formación

• Minimum of 5 years' sommelier experience in luxury hospitality.
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Extensive knowledge of wines, regions, vintages and cellar management.
• Experience in wine purchasing, supplier relations and wine list development.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and oversee wine service across all outlets with guest-focused excellence.
• Curate and continuously enhance the hotel's wine programme and list.
• Build strong relationships with wineries, suppliers and distributors.
• Conduct wine seminars, tastings, masterclasses and pairing dinners.
• Design wine training programmes for staff to improve product knowledge and upselling.
• Provide guidance on wine selection and food pairing across cuisines.
• Oversee decanting, presentation and maintenance of wine lists and menus.
• Monitor wine storage, inventory, and stock rotation while controlling costs.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and Six Senses standards.
