King is seeking a Principal Economy and System Designer to shape the economy for a flagship Merge 2 game in Barcelona. You will own the economy from first session through live events, balancing currencies, progression, and monetisation to deliver a sustainable player journey.

Formación

• Hands-on experience designing and balancing economies for merge games.
• Experience on Merge 2 titles with generators, merge chains, energy loops, and progression pacing.
• Proven track record on free-to-play mobile games with meaningful scale.
• Strong analytical capability with spreadsheet models and simulations.

Responsabilidades

• Own the design, modelling, balancing, and health of the game economy across the full player lifecycle.
• Define the Merge 2 economy, including merge chains, generators, currencies, and progression gates.
• Design progression systems and content pacing with clear goals.
• Build and maintain economy models, simulations, and tools to forecast progression and balance changes.
• Establish sources/sinks and ensure currency balance for engaged and paying players.
• Collaborate with Creative, Product, Data, Design, Art, Engineering, and UX to translate vision into systems.
• Balance meta, social, events, and monetisation systems to support retention and revenue.
• Use data and feedback to identify opportunities and recommendations.
• Lead economy reviews and communicate complex decisions to senior stakeholders.
• Mentor designers and contribute to the broader design community.
