BCMaterials is seeking a Facilities & Infrastructure Manager to oversee and maintain BCMaterials’ laboratory and office facilities in Bilbao. You will manage maintenance, coordinate a team of technicians, and drive improvements to infrastructure services while supporting researchers in a dynamic, international setting.

Formación

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Engineering, another scientific degree, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• 4+ years of professional experience in facilities, infrastructure, engineering projects, technical services or maintenance management.
• Experience in labs, scientific facilities, or technical infrastructures.
• Experience coordinating external contractors and service providers.
• Solid understanding of building and laboratory infrastructure systems (Electrical, HVAC, ventilation/extraction, gas distribution, water, safety).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools, ticket management platforms, and digital documentation systems.
• Fluent English (CEFR B2 or higher) in an international work environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Spanish is mandatory for professional communication.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure correct operation, maintenance and improvement of technical installations and facilities; coordinate with external building services.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Coordinate maintenance companies, contractors and technical suppliers.
• Monitor technical service quality, compliance and performance.
• Analyse requirements for new equipment and research activities.
• Lead implementation of approved projects and monitor completion.
• Act as internal reference for health and safety matters; promote safety compliance.
• Assist in procurement technical specifications, analyze quotations, support tendering and contract processes.
• Maintain technical documentation, facility layouts and infrastructure records.
• Lead the laboratory assistants and technicians; organize priorities and workloads.
• Liaise with building owners, authorities, contractors and service providers.
