Job summary

Novartis in Spain seeks a Project Engineer & Capex Lead to manage capex initiatives and engineering projects across site operations. You’ll coordinate with global teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery within scope and regulatory standards.

The role requires an engineering degree with 3–4 years in field/project engineering or capex, strong project management, GMP knowledge, and bilingual Spanish/English communication. Location: La Almunia de Doña Godina, Spain.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering degree and 3–4 years in field/project engineering, capex management or similar in regulated industries.
• Proven project management capabilities: planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate small to medium engineering projects and site changes, ensuring alignment with timelines and GMP requirements.
• Prepare, review, and approve project documentation (drawings, schedules, layouts, diagrams, datasheets, specs).
• Own and support the local CAPEX process including definition, planning, reporting, and approval stages.
• Serve as local engineering reference for global projects and support implementation at site level.
• Align strategies with local/global stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Develop vendor/contractor strategies including evaluations and performance follow-up.
• Drive design improvements for equipment, utilities, and facilities for reliability, quality, and safety.
