Novartis Farmacéutica, S.A. in Barcelona, Spain, is seeking an Associate Director – Design & Construction Technology Project Manager to lead technology workstreams across REFS design and capital projects.

You will coordinate with Global teams to ensure on-time, on-budget technology delivery and seamless handover to operations. The role requires 8-12+ years in IT project management, strong stakeholder management, and experience with construction or real estate programs.

Qualifications

• 8-12+ years of IT project management experience in global/multi-country setups.
• Experience supporting workplace, facilities, construction, infrastructure, or real estate programs.
• Proven delivery of technology in construction or fit-out projects globally.
• Strong understanding of building design and construction processes and translating them to tech delivery.
• Experience with external vendors and system integrators.
• Excellent planning, execution, and risk management with attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management with negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology workstreams for new buildings, office fit-outs, laboratory upgrades, and renovations; own end-to-end IT scope across project lifecycle.
• Document and coordinate business and site technology requirements; align with enterprise standards.
• Develop and maintain integrated project plans; manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies; report to governance bodies.
• Coordinate technology vendors, system integrators, and construction partners; review deliverables and change requests.
• Ensure site readiness and smooth handover to operations; manage commissioning and hypercare activities.
• Serve as trusted technology advisor to Design & Construction leadership and align stakeholders around objectives.
