Placements24 is seeking an HR Officer to manage daily HR activities in Queenstown. You will handle recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll support, and compliance with SA labour law. A stable, growing retail environment offers hands-on experience for an emerging HR professional.

The role focuses on organization, detail-orientation, and proactive learning in a full-time, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in HR or related field.
• 1–3 years HR support experience.
• Knowledge of South African labour law.
• Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruitment and selection, including posting vacancies, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.
• Conduct onboarding and orientation sessions.
• Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
• Administer HR policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
• Support employee queries and basic employee relations issues.
• Assist with payroll administration and benefits processing.
• Ensure compliance with labour legislation and company policies.
• Support HR initiatives and training programs.
• Prepare HR reports and documentation.
• Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.
