Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca invites applications for a Steward to join the Culinary team. Based at our Mallorca property, you will be responsible for washing and maintaining cleanliness of utensils and kitchen areas to support the kitchen.

You will work in a team focused on high standards of hygiene and safety, with rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. Previous experience is preferred, and training will be provided to maintain our luxury service.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar position is preferred.
• Basic cleaning skills: Previous experience in cleaning and washing utensils while maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Knowledge of chemicals usage: Familiarity with cleaning products for dishware and utensils, using them safely and effectively.
• Attention to detail: Ensure utensils, dishware, and surfaces are thoroughly clean and free of residues or waste.
• Availability: Flexibility for rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel needs.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing: Clean dishes, cutlery, glassware, and utensils, following hygiene standards and using proper cleaning products.
• Kitchen cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness of surfaces, utensils, and equipment to meet hygiene and food safety standards.
• Waste management: Properly classify and dispose of waste, following environmental and health regulations.
• Kitchen organization: Keep utensils and kitchen equipment organized and in good condition.
• Hygiene and safety compliance: Ensure adherence to hygiene and safety protocols in the work environment.
• Common areas maintenance: Keep common areas, hallways, and storage spaces clean and organized.
