Job summary

Joko is hiring a People Operations Manager to scale our employee experience across France, Spain, and the US. You will own payroll, compliance, HR administration, and HR systems, while driving data quality and automation for a rapidly growing team.

You will partner with Finance, Legal, Talent Acquisition, and Workplace Management, delivering a seamless onboarding and offboarding process in a fast‑moving, AI‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in People Operations or HR administration in a fast‑growing startup or scale‑up environment.
• Strong foundation across People Ops topics, with real depth in at least one area (payroll, compliance, HR systems, or HR projects).
• Payroll end‑to‑end experience; quick to master modern HRIS and payroll tools.
• Legal & compliance knowledge: French labor law; international HR exposure (Spain or US) is a plus.
• Detail‑oriented, organized and reliable; data accuracy is essential.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work in fast‑moving environments.
• Willingness to leverage AI to automate repetitive People Ops tasks.
• Collaborative team player who can manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Run core people processes end‑to‑end: payroll, contracts, amendments, benefits, visas, and time off across France, Spain, and the US.
• Own compliance: ensure French labor law compliance and audits readiness across jurisdictions.
• Build systems and data: maintain HRIS data accuracy and generate reliable planning reports.
• Automate: document and automate People Ops processes with AI support.
• Deliver a human employee experience: ensure smooth onboarding/offboarding and consistent interactions.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Talent Acquisition, and Workplace Management across the company.
