Job summary

British American Tobacco Spain is inviting applications for its 18-month Global Graduate Programme in Marketing, Madrid. You will rotate across brand, category and commercial activation, gaining real responsibility and guidance from a coach and mentor within a global graduate network.

From your first weeks you will contribute to live projects, learn about brand strategy and activation, and collaborate with teams across Western Europe to develop you leadership and commercial capabilities.

• Recently graduated with a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
• Motivated, ambitious and proactive, with a strong willingness to learn.
• Open to international experiences and mobility opportunities.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Complete three rotations across brand, category and commercial activation.

Madrid | 18 months | 3 rotations

Start your marketing career with three rotations, real business responsibility and support from a coach and mentor. Over 18 months, you will build experience across brand, category and commercial activation while working with teams across Western Europe.

British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate in Madrid. Join our 18-month Global Graduate Programme in Marketing and build experience across three business rotations. From your first weeks, you will contribute to live commercial projects, work with colleagues across functions and markets, and develop your understanding of brand, category, consumer and activation strategy. You could support a brand plan, analyse consumer and competitor trends, or help a commercial team improve how a campaign is activated.

Alongside real responsibility, you will receive structured development, support from a coach and mentor, and access to a global graduate network.

Each graduate will experience a unique experience, shaped around business priorities and your development needs. To give you an idea of the type of work you will be doing, previous placements have included:

• Supporting brand, category and commercial activation plans
• Analysing of consumer, customer, competitor and market insights
• Supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of commercial initiatives
• Presenting insights and recommendations to local or regional stakeholders
• Contributing to cross-functional and cross-market projects across Europe

You will not be doing this alone. A dedicated coach and mentor will support your development, alongside structured learning and a global network of fellow graduates. In addition to this, you will get the opportunity to attend our International Grad Academy where you will collaborate in person with BAT graduates from around the world. By the end of the programme, you will have built the commercial, strategic and leadership capabilities needed to take the next step in your career with BAT.

What are we looking for?

Requirements

• You are interested in developing an international career in Trade Marketing and Marketing.
• You have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
• You are motivated, ambitious, and proactive, with a strong willingness to learn
• You are open to international experiences and mobility opportunities.
• You are fluent in English and Spanish.

What it takes to succeed:

• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns and insights from large and complex data sets.
• The confidence and communication skills to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for senior partners.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of delivering results.
• Consistently demonstrates curiosity by investigating the 'why' behind data, behaviours, and business outcomes.
• A genuine interest in FMCG, consumer behaviour, and broader business trends, using external insights to strengthen commercial understanding and decision-making.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel across Western Europe as required.
