Job summary

Divinemythsstudio in Barcelona seeks a German Digital Customer Engineer to bridge customer needs with Google Cloud architectures. You will work with Partners and Sales to explore requirements, craft demonstrations, and evaluate solutions that move cloud opportunities forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Five+ years in cloud technical sales engineering or similar customer-facing role.
• Experience with Big Data, PaaS, IaaS technologies and databases.
• Knowledge of MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark, Flume, Hive, Impala, Spark SQL, BigQuery.
• Linux and web tech knowledge (HTTP, authentication, cookies, sessions, XML/HTML, XSLT).
• Networking concepts (DNS, TCP, firewalls, proxies, DMZs).
• Web app development and integration (REST, SOAP, J2EE, servlets, Python, JavaScript, PHP).
• Proactive, independent work style with collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements and identify barriers to cloud adoption.
• Build prototypes, demonstrations, and integration examples in Partner environments.
• Guide Partners and Sales through technical questions and challenges.
• Provide advice on enterprise architecture, integration strategies, platforms, and infrastructure.

Our client is recruiting a German Digital Customer Engineer for a Google Cloud project in Barcelona.

Working primarily with Partners and Sales teams, you'll connect customer requirements with scalable cloud architectures. From technical discovery to demonstrations and solution evaluations, you'll help teams make informed decisions and move cloud opportunities forward.

What you'll do

• Understand customer requirements, identify barriers to cloud adoption, and recommend architectures aligned with business needs.
• Build prototypes, demonstrations, and integration examples using cloud products in Partner environments.
• Guide Partners and Sales teams through technical questions, objections, and challenges throughout the sales process.
• Provide advice on enterprise architecture, integration strategies, platforms, and application infrastructure.
• Deliver technical briefings, whiteboard sessions, and presentations that communicate the Google Cloud value proposition.
• Use technical documentation and administrative, development, and support consoles to evaluate solutions and demonstrate capabilities.
• Maintain accurate Salesforce opportunity records and document technical evaluation outcomes and sales-stage requirements.
• Complete relevant product training and certifications within established timelines.

What you'll bring

• Fluent German and strong communication and presentation skills.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least five years of experience in cloud technical sales engineering, or a comparable customer-facing role in professional services or systems engineering.
• Experience with Big Data, PaaS, and IaaS technologies, alongside hands-on experience using or managing databases.
• Knowledge of data technologies such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Spark, Flume, Hive, Impala, Spark SQL, or BigQuery.
• Working knowledge of Linux and web technologies, including HTTP, authentication, cookies and sessions, XML, HTML/XHTML, and XSLT.
• Understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including DNS, TCP, firewalls, proxy servers, and DMZs.
• Experience with web application development and integration using technologies such as REST, SOAP, J2EE, servlets, Python, JavaScript, or PHP.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.

Compensation & benefits

• Indicative monthly total compensation equivalent: €4,054.67. This calculation assumes the advertised €48,656 total package is annual and paid over 12 months; the package structure, gross/net basis, and payment schedule require confirmation.
