The General Manager will take full P&L accountability, drive strategic plans, and report on financial performance to senior leadership.

W Executive is partnering with a leading company in the industrial sector to recruit a General Manager who will take full responsibility for the company's strategic direction, operational performance, and profitable growth.

We are seeking an accomplished executive with strong industrial leadership, commercial acumen, and a proven track record of managing complex manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & P&L Management

• Assume full P&L accountability, driving revenue growth, profitability, and overall business performance.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic plans aligned with corporate objectives.
• Report regularly to senior leadership on financial performance, operational KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for business expansion, operational efficiencies, and sustainable growth.

Operations & Manufacturing Excellence

• Provide strategic oversight of manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain operations.
• Drive operational excellence by improving Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), maximizing asset utilization, and reducing waste.
• Champion a strong Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture across the organization.
• Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other operational excellence methodologies.

Commercial Strategy & Business Development

• Oversee the commercial strategy, supporting commercial leadership in strengthening key customer relationships and developing new business opportunities.
• Align manufacturing capabilities with market requirements to optimize product mix, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor industry trends, technological developments, and sustainability initiatives to strengthen the company's competitive positioning.

Financial & Organizational Leadership

• Work closely with Finance leadership to oversee budgeting, capital expenditure (CapEx), cash flow, and financial planning.
• Lead, develop, and empower a multidisciplinary management team across Operations, Sales, Finance, and Human Resources.
• Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee organizational development, talent management, employee engagement, and labor relations.

Candidate Profile

• Significant leadership experience in the food OR packaging industry, ideally within a General Management, Managing Director, or senior operational leadership capacity.
• Proven track record of full P&L ownership and delivering sustainable financial results.
• Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, operational excellence, and supply chain management.
• Demonstrated ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on operational leadership.
• Solid commercial acumen, with experience supporting business development and managing key customer relationships.
• Strong financial literacy, including budgeting, CapEx planning, and profitability management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at both operational and executive levels.
