Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space SAU is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead strategic procurement for Flight Controls. You will build deep market intelligence, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate cross-functional teams to secure cost-effective materials and services across platforms.

The role requires a degree in engineering or business management, 5+ years in procurement/engineering, and strong negotiation skills. English proficiency and SAP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with procurement and supply chain processes.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute commodity strategy for assigned domain.
• Manage supplier relationships and development programs.
• Lead Sub-Commodity Multi-Functional Team and supplier selections.
• Negotiate contracts and drive bids, tenders and supplier agreements.
• Lead value creation projects to deliver savings and synergies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure value for money.
• Perform supplier risk assessment and manage vendor performance.
• Drive long-term contracts and supplier evaluations.
