Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid) seeks a Strategic Commodity Manager for Communications Systems. You will join the Communications Commodity Team within the TAOP organization, manage systems procurement across ADS platforms, and collaborate with global suppliers and cross-functional teams to deliver value and innovation.

The role requires a degree in engineering or related field and at least 5 years in procurement/engineering, with strong negotiation and English skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related field; business knowledge is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in procurement, engineering, services, or project management.
• Experience with risk assessment and supplier management is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and monitor a robust commodity strategy.
• Lead the Sub-Commodity MFT to secure value-for-money proposals.
• Manage supplier relationships, risk assessments, and supplier development programs.
• Drive bids, tenders, and supplier selection processes with business cases.
• Lead negotiations and set up long-term contracts with suppliers.
• Contribute to procurement and value creation projects.
