Job summary

Abbott is seeking an Intern to join our Electro Physiology division as a Field Technical Engineer Intern for Galicia (second location could be Santiago). You will support EP procedures, contribute to market intelligence, and participate in Abbott events while learning and growing toward a full-time role.

The role requires a B.S. in Bioengineering or related field, strong MS Office skills, and English fluency (C1). A valid driving license and an internship agreement are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Location: Galicia, second location could be Santiago.
• B.S degree preferably in Bioengineering, Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications or related sciences.
• Good computer utilization and presentation skills, including MS Office and Email.
• Fluent in English (Level C1).
• Mandatory to sign an University or Business School Agreement for the internship.
• Mandatory Driving License (1 year at least).

Responsibilities

• Provide primary technical support to physicians and nurses during Electrophysiology procedures using Abbott equipment over the assigned territory.
• Support all activities related to the promotion of EP products, including internal and external educational programs, customer clinical training and other Abbott events.
• Identify additional opportunities with existing customers and invest in Abbott education offerings to grow from intern to full-time.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge to support Abbott’s product advantages.
• Understand Abbott’s product portfolio to compare with competition and offer solutions across situations.

Abbott medical is looking for an Intern to join our Electro Physiology division as FTE mainly based in Galicia, (second location could be Santiago) to support technically and clinically EP procedures, representing Abbott’s interests in the Cath Labs and collaborating with the local team.

To build strong and professional relationships in various hospital settings, showing flexibility and adaptability to changing needs (e.g. varying hospital schedules, etc.). To contribute to the local and EMEA organization in multiple manners (e.g. market intelligence gathering, proactive communication, etc.)

In this role you will learn to:

• Provide primary technical support to physicians and nurses during Electrophysiology procedures using Abbott equipment over the assigned territory Support EP strategy and its execution,
• Support all activities related to the promotion of EP products, including internal and external educational programs, customer clinical training and other Abbott events.
• Identify additional opportunities with existing customers Invest time and efforts in the Education offered by Abbott, and grow from new hire to full FTE in the time requested.
• Maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge, including clinical studies, to consistently support Abbott’s product advantages.
• Understand how Abbott’s product portfolio compares to competition, to be able to offer an Abbott’s solution to customer in as many situations as possible.
