Job summary

Inter-American Development Bank in Madrid seeks a Human Resources Principal Specialist, Global Talent & Strategic Partnerships. You will lead Europe-focused talent attraction and strategic partnerships, building pipelines from non-regional markets while aligning outreach with IDB priorities.

You will work with HRD and GPS, report to VHR, and coordinate with HQ teams to ensure coherence, scale, and impact of talent initiatives across Europe.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years of experience in partnerships, international relations, or related areas.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders across governments, international orgs, and private sector.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish; knowledge of French/Portuguese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead a proactive talent attraction strategy for non-regional markets.
• Lead regional talent attraction across non-regional markets, expanding candidate quality.
• Strengthen and expand Global Talent Partnerships with firms, agencies, and partners.
• Identify and engage senior-level candidates through government and institutional networks.
• Lead academic and professional outreach with universities, think tanks, and networks.
• Develop flagship talent programs and knowledge partnerships for mobilizing talent.
• Coordinate global talent mobility and align with HQ priorities and partnerships.
• Support outreach activities, missions, conferences, and partner intelligence.
• Collaborate with GPS, HRD, and regional teams to maximize impact in Europe.
