Larian Studios in Barcelona is seeking an Engine Programming Intern to join our team and help maintain and extend our proprietary engine, covering memory management, networking, ECS, and core systems.

As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for an Engine Programming Intern to join the team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.
Good knowledge of C++.
Strong understanding of basic C++ concepts (types, OOP, memory management, etc.)
Portfolio of personal C++ project(s) (with source code), not older than 2 years
Projects must be personal work (university coursework will not be considered)
Applications without coding examples will not be considered
Open minded, willing to experiment and iterate over a specific feature.
Good communication skills in English.
You are a team player and willing to take responsibility.
Problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work full-time on-site at our Barcelona studio.
Help to maintain and extend our proprietary engine’s tech stack (Memory management, networking, ECS, data structures, performance optimization, physics systems, animation systems …)
Work closely together with the other departments to implement the needed game components.
Write robust, performant, well tested and maintainable code.
Be an active participant in the design and production of the game; the technical side of the creative team!
