Job summary

ZEST Hotel & Resort Ibiza is seeking a Director of Rooms to lead the Rooms Division for a flagship luxury resort opening. You will shape guest journey across Front Office, Concierge, Bell & Door Services, Guest Experience, Housekeeping and Laundry, from pre-arrival to post-departure.

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will build a high-performing Rooms leadership team, define service standards, drive guest loyalty, and manage operational excellence while upholding ZEST culture and values across

Qualifications

• Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent.
• Significant luxury hospitality leadership experience within Rooms Division.
• Proven success leading Front Office and Housekeeping functions.
• Experience managing villa operations and highly personalised guest experiences.
• Strong background in luxury resort environments or lifestyle brands.
• Pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
• Experience developing service standards and high-performing teams.
• Strong financial, budgeting and workforce planning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Rooms Division strategy aligned with the resort's vision and objectives.
• Oversee Front Office, Concierge, Bell & Door Services, Guest Experience, Housekeeping and Laundry.
• Drive guest satisfaction with highly personalised experiences and VIP management.
• Lead pre-opening activities including readiness, standards, systems, recruitment and trials.
• Build and coach a high-performing Rooms leadership team with a culture of excellence.
• Manage budgets, payroll, productivity and costs while preserving guest experience.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management, Reservations, Engineering and other ops teams to optimise inventory and upsell.
• Monitor guest feedback and quality audits to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with luxury standards, safety, data protection and sustainability.

ZEST Hotel & Resort is a new luxury resort in Cap Negret, Ibiza, scheduled to open in April 2027. With 206 rooms and seven villas, destination dining, wellness facilities, and a Beach Club, we are building a team that will bring warm, thoughtful hospitality to every part of the guest experience.

About the Role

Lead the Rooms Division behind one of Ibiza's most exciting luxury resort openings. Inspired by The ZEST Effect and our commitment to personalised hospitality, we are looking for an exceptional Director of Rooms to join our Executive Leadership Team and shape every aspect of the guest journey.

Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager, the Director of Rooms will oversee Front Office, Concierge, Bell & Door Services, Guest Experience, Telephone Operations, Housekeeping and Laundry, ensuring a seamless and elevated experience from pre-arrival through to post-departure.

This is a unique opportunity to create and launch a world-class Rooms operation from the ground up. You will play a key role in defining service standards, building high-performing teams, delivering exceptional guest satisfaction, and positioning ZEST Hotel & Resort Ibiza as one of the island's most sought-after luxury lifestyle destinations.

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, guest loyalty, financial performance, team engagement, and service innovation whilst bringing the ZEST culture and values to life across every guest interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall Rooms Division strategy, ensuring alignment with the resort's vision, luxury positioning, and business objectives.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation of Front Office, Concierge, Bell & Door Services, Guest Experience, Housekeeping, and Laundry, ensuring seamless service delivery across all guest touchpoints.
• Drive exceptional guest satisfaction by delivering highly personalized experiences, managing VIP stays, resolving complex guest concerns, and continuously improving service quality.
• Lead all Rooms Division pre-opening activities, including operational readiness, service standards, systems implementation, recruitment, training, and trial operations.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and inspire a high-performing Rooms leadership team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
• Manage departmental budgets, payroll, productivity, and operating costs while maximizing efficiency without compromising the guest experience.
• Partner closely with Revenue Management, Reservations, Engineering, and other operational departments to optimize room inventory, upgrades, upselling opportunities, and overall operational performance.
• Monitor guest feedback, quality audits, and market trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation.
• Ensure compliance with luxury hospitality standards, health & safety requirements, data protection regulations, and sustainability initiatives across the division.
• Champion the ZEST culture and service philosophy, bringing Freedom, Connection, Pleasure, and Exploration to life for both guests and employees.

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or equivalent professional experience.
• Significant luxury hospitality leadership experience within Rooms Division operations.
• Proven success leading both Front Office and Housekeeping functions.
• Experience managing villa operations and highly personalised guest experiences.
• Strong background in luxury resort environments, lifestyle hospitality brands or complex multi-outlet properties.
• Previous pre-opening experience is highly desirable.
• Experience developing service standards, procedures and high-performing teams.
• Strong financial, budgeting and workforce planning capabilities.
• Proficiency with PMS platforms, reputation management systems and operational reporting tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Valid EU work authorisation or the appropriate Spanish work permit.
