Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra Mallorca is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the Engineering Team. You will oversee all engineering activities, drive the department’s budget and CapEx oversight, mentor staff, and ensure world-class maintenance and safety standards at the property.

You will collaborate with Finance, HR and IT&T to drive strategic plans, energy conservation, and operational excellence in a luxury hospitality setting on Mallorca.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years in engineering management.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (industrial, electrical, mechanical or renewable energy).
• Pre-opening and resort experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings, plant, rooms, equipment, and front/back of house areas in safe condition.
• Establish and implement Safe and Sound procedures per MOHG standards.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and codes.
• Oversee Engineering Management Team and outsourced services.
• Develop and manage the annual CapEx plan and budget for engineering.
• Support IT&T, HR, and Finance in related strategic activities.
• Drive energy conservation and cost control initiatives.
• Coordinate with local authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
