Job summary

BYD Europe is seeking a Customer Program Engineer for Iberia to manage cross-functional projects from order to delivery. You will liaison with customers, sales, R&D, factory and external partners across continents to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role requires regular customer visits, 50% travel, and collaboration with a regional PM team to drive design reviews, PDI, and delivery coordination in the Iberia region.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years in Electrical/Mechanical or other Engineering for multiple projects/customers
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical or Other Engineering
• Knowledge of the automotive industry, preferably EV buses & Trucks
• Experience in cross-cultural management, client management and conflict management
• Proactive and collaborative problem-solving approach; strong ownership

Responsibilities

• Act as communication point of contact for customers in Iberia region
• Develop trusted, collaborative partnerships with customers, body builders and PDI workshops
• Transfer requests quickly from customers to BYD organization
• Plan Factory Acceptance Test involving all stakeholders
• Coordinate delivery activities with all stakeholders (customer, PDI, suppliers)
• Lead project communications from order to delivery, including DR, FAT, PDI and Final Delivery
