Penspen is seeking a Contracts Specialist in Madrid, Spain, to manage contract activities within Core Engineering or PMC projects. The role may involve supervising engineers and delegating tasks to support staff, under supervision of a Lead Engineer.

The position is based in Spain with potential travel to Al Khafji, KSA. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Administration is required, and ARAMCO experience is essential.

Formación

• 14 years of experience within Contracts Specialism incl. project management activities
• 7 years in contract activities for major Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects
• Extensive knowledge of contracting types and strategies for project execution
• ARAMCO experience essential

Main Purpose Of The Role

The Contracts Specialist may operate within the Core Engineering Team or PMC project team environment. They may have engineer grade personnel under their responsibility and will be tasked with their control and management and the delegation of activities to such support personnel. They may work under the supervision of a Lead Engineer in which case his responsibilities will be as delegated. The Contracts Specialist may be in charge of any or all of the following tasks. The position is to be based in Spain, Europe.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills)

• 14 years of experience within Contracts Specialism - project management activities, project contract administration, procurement, communication and contract writing skills
• 7 years within the field of contract activities for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical building and infrastructure projects. Excellent knowledge of various contracting types and strategies related to project executions. Good knowledge of claims causes, analysis and preventive actions
• Must have Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Business Administration or Equivalent closely related field.
• ARAMCO experience essential!
