Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Civil Engineer for a leadership role in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The project scope includes planning, design, and supervision of road and related infrastructure, with a focus on safe and sustainable transport networks for the Eastern Cape community.

You will conduct traffic studies, pavement and drainage design, and prepare technical reports and construction drawings while coordinating with clients and authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA preferred.
• 6+ years in transportation engineering and road design.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Queenstown, Eastern Cape.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Design of road geometry, intersections, and interchanges.
• Conduct traffic analysis and forecasting.
• Design of road pavement structures and drainage systems.
• Prepare technical reports, specs, and construction drawings.
• Manage project phases from feasibility to construction supervision.
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, and contractors.
• Ensure designs comply with South African road standards.
• Oversee site investigations and construction activities.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and build team capabilities.
