Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join a reputable consultancy in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The role focuses on the design and oversight of structural components for diverse building and infrastructure projects in the region.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering.
Professional registration as a structural engineer (PrEng) or eligible for registration.

Responsibilities

Lead the structural design and analysis for diverse projects (commercial, residential, industrial, bridges).
Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings and specs using Revit, AutoCAD and related tools.
Conduct feasibility studies and site investigations to inform design decisions.
Manage structural engineering aspects, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Liaise with clients, architects and contractors, providing technical guidance.
Mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians.
Perform structural assessments of existing structures and ensure code compliance (SANS).
Review shop drawings and construction submittals for structural compliance.
Identify and resolve design and construction challenges proactively.
