Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major civil infrastructure projects in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will oversee planning, design coordination, procurement, on-site execution, and close-out, ensuring quality, safety, and environmental standards are met within budget and schedule.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, at least six years in project management for infrastructure, and a track record of delivering complex schemes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of project management experience in civil infrastructure.
• Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods and materials.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of civil infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, water, sanitation).
• Develop, maintain, and monitor project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Oversee on-site operations including resource allocation and subcontractor management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental policies and quality standards.
• Coordinate with design teams, engineers, contractors and regulators.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Manage project finances, track expenditures and approve invoices.
• Conduct site inspections and project reviews; present status reports to stakeholders.
